AirBBQ Chicken Char Siu

By 19:51:00 , , , , ,

Making AirBBq Char Siu for tonight's dinner. My darling husband loves Char Siu but he's always keep wondering does the restaurant use pure honey to glaze the meat, which I for sure cannot guarantee it will be pure honey since there is a cheaper alternative that taste the same as honey..LOL!

With this home-cooked AirBBQ Char Siu, I can give him a guarantee that this meat was glazed with PURE HONEY!

Next time I shall try it with pork meat and Dable suggested to use the "pork butt" (豬柳梅肉). I have no idea how to say it to the butcher *LOL* as I don't know how to read the Chinese words.

By the way, this wonderful recipe was shared by Dable on her "I Love Philips Airfryer" facebook page. This recipe is definitely a keeper because it is so easy to AirBBQ Char Siu using the Philips Airfryer.
AirBBQ Chicken Char Siu

3 Chicken Breast Halves (remove skin and bones)
4 tbsp Char Siu Paste
Honey

Directions:

  • Marinate the meat with Char Siu Paste for 2 hours or more.
  • Preheat the AirFryer at 200°C.
  • Place the meat on the grill pan and let AirBBQ for 10 minutes, then turn the meat over and continue to AirBBQ for another 10 minutes.

  • Brush the meat with honey and continue for additional 2 minutes.

  • Slice it and serve!

    1. Hello Hei,
No problem with washing the grill pan because it is a non-stick pan. I just soaked the pan for like 10 minutes and all the sticky bits come off when wiped using a sponge.

  2. That chicken looks great - the airfryer does such an incredible job of cooking chicken! Your air fryer recipes are really good... have cooked a couple of your cakes and your chicken recipes are great as well - thanks.
